20 to 22 October 2023 Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition ” returns

Rome, 7 February 2023 – An even bigger edition with new innovative content, in a location suitable for hosting an event that is constantly growing and evolving.

Also this year, the appointment with “Maker Faire Rome 2023 – The European Edition” (https://makerfairerome.eu/it). The event – promoted and organised by the Chamber of Commerce of Rome – will be held from 20 to 22 October at the Fiera di Roma and will address all the key components of innovation: from digital manufacturing to the Internet of Things, from robotics to artificial intelligence, from circular economy to agritech, from digital manufacturing to e-sports via big data and aerospace, up to the latest discoveries of the metaverse and augmented reality.

In addition, there will be dedicated sections of Maker Art and Maker Music – much appreciated by the general public much appreciated by the general public at the fair – which will explore the intersection of art, music science and technology. Sections that represent an opportunity for visitors to discover
how technology can support and stimulate creativity.
And many new features will be announced shortly.

The 2023 edition is the eleventh of an event that has grown and evolved over time, remaining a point of reference for all those who want to change the world. time, always remaining a reference point for all those who want to change the world, for the better, with their creativity. Years of innovations and ideas that have turned into concrete projects and inventions that have improved and revolutionised entire sectors of our society, making possible what, just a few years ago, seemed unattainable.

For its many partners, Maker Faire Rome represents a unique and virtuous meeting companies, start-ups, research institutions, schools, universities and innovators.

The network that is created during the event connects companies with a wide audience and offers the opportunity to accelerate the go-to-market of innovative products and services.

This spirit has accompanied us since the first edition and we have maintained it, intact, over the years. Maker Faire Rome involves everyone in a simple and direct way.

This year, at the Fiera di Roma, we will also have more spaces to interact with the general public and we are ready to set up a new, unforgettable edition”.

While waiting for the traditional “Call for Makers”, the “Call for Big Bang Projects” will soon open, i.e. the opportunity addressed to all, makers, artists, visionaries to build the new edition not only in its contents, but also in its most important attractions. In particular, applications will be opened for large-scale projects, those with high interactivity and public involvement, set-ups/attractions with a strong visual impact suitable for characterising the spaces of the event (pavilions, external routes, entrances and access areas, etc.), areas for interactive activities (runways, aviaries, stages, workshops, etc.), exhibitions and themed in-depth studies.
“We are already working,” says Luciano Mocci, President of Innova Camera, the special agency of the Rome Chamber of Commerce, “on the 2023 edition, which will have an even more entrepreneurial dimension, with the involvement of numerous start-ups, including foreign ones. Those who attend the Maker Faire can see, up close, the people who are building our present and immediate future with their creativity’.

Lastly, thanks to the spaces of the Fiera di Roma, the event returns with the Kids Area (dedicated to the youngest (dedicated to children with many proposals for educational activities and workshops) and the Educational Day on Friday with thousands of middle and high school students who can visit, in preview, the the inventions and discoveries on display in the various pavilions.
