BMW iX Flow, would you like to become your own car designer?

The German company hardly disappoints, what we are showing you is really futuristic.
How many times before buying a car do we think about how tired we are of the colour of the bodywork?
With the Bmw ix Flow, changing colour is easy at the touch of a button!
There are currently three colours available: white, black and grey. The body is specially developed and stimulated by electrical signals to change the colour of the car’s exterior.
Before long, digital experiences will not only be on screens. The real and the virtual will merge more and more and very quickly.
Here’s the bad news…don’t expect this solution to be available in production cars any time soon, it’s still a research project at the moment.
How does it work exactly?
The body contains millions of microcapsules, with a diameter equivalent to the thickness of a human hair, which contain negative white pigments and positive black pigments.

Stimulation by an electric field causes white or black pigments to accumulate on the surface of the microcapsule, giving the body the desired shade at any given time.
BMW takes personalisation to another level. Of course, no one has explained the weather and outdoor resistance of this special paint. However, this technology offers many possibilities for future improvements. One can only wait and see.
The manufacturer also unveiled the Digital Art Mode that will be coming to the rest of its cars and is part of the My Modes that are described as “unique moments that enhance the BMW driving experience by creating a synergy between the vehicle’s functions and its interior design”. In other words, depending on your driving situation and mood, you can, at the touch of a button, change the steering wheel and steering wheel control, ambient lighting and sound, as well as the colour scheme and graphics of BMW’s curved display.
So, as an exclusive, the creator added that he would put a mode in the car: My Modes in combination with a new in-car entertainment system for future BMW models. This is the My Mode Theatre, which turns the rear of the car into a private cinema with surround sound and 5G connectivity.

In addition, to offer the best possible entertainment experience, we will have compatibility with Amazon Fire TV, which will allow us to use most popular apps, so we can watch movies and TV episodes, play music and watch anything we download, all while on the go. BMW says there will be a specific streaming offering for Chinese customers.
