ERDCWERX Announces Event Series Featuring U.S. Army ERDC Patents for Commercialization

VICKSBURG, MISS. – Investors and businesses with manufacturing or distribution capabilities are invited to attend Innovation 2 Market (I2M), a patent event series hosted by ERDCWERX in collaboration with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC). Participants will benefit by learning how patented technologies developed by ERDC can support business growth and diversification.

Comprised of five webinars and an in-person patent showcase, the I2M 2024 Event Series is designed to highlight ERDC innovations available for licensing. It provides unique opportunities for direct engagement with ERDC inventors and showcases the dual-use applicability of featured technologies in various sectors.

I2M 2024 Event Series Schedule:

The I2M 2024 Event Series will feature an in-person patent showcase on Tuesday, April 2, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm CT at ERDCWERX in Vicksburg, Miss. In-person attendees will hear from industry representatives experienced in the commercialization of ERDC technologies and receive timely insights on current business opportunities

“The I2M event series will offer valuable insights into ERDC’s intellectual property portfolio,” said Jenny Jabour, technology transfer officer of ERDC’s Office of Research and Technology Transfer (ORTT). “One of the primary takeaways includes ERDC’s simplified licensing process—enabling businesses to assess and engage with the market potential of ERDC’s innovations more efficiently than ever before.”

In addition, I2M participants will have the opportunity to network with ERDC’s ORTT, Contracting Office, and Office of Small Business Programs, as well as its key technology commercialization partners, TechLink and ERDCWERX.
“ERDC’s world-class researchers continue to develop innovations that serve the Warfighter and address the essential needs of our nation,” said ERDCWERX Director Paul Sumrall. “As ERDC’s partner, one of our goals is to make it easier for industry to access these inventions for both military and broader non-military applications. Supporting I2M enhances tech transition between the federal government and commercial marketplace.”
