IPITEX 2020: Bangkok celebrates ‘inventors’ day

From 2 to 6 February 2020, Bangkok will welcome 1000 inventors and 20000 visitors to IPITEX 2020, one of the most important innovation events in South East Asia.

Every year, on February 2, Thailand celebrates “inventors’ day” with particular emphasis. On the occasion of this celebration, an international pavilion is even opened in the capital Bangkok to allow inventors to present their most innovative prototypes and projects. This is the Bangkok International Intellectual Property, Invention, Innovation and Technology Exposition (IPITEX). This year the exhibition will be held at BITEC (Bangkok International Trade and Exposition Centre) and will run until February 6, 2020. The event is organized by the National Research Council with the support of the Thai government and the departments responsible for innovation and technology development. It is under the aegis of IFIA, the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations.

IPITEX 2020: the programme of the event

IPITEX 2020 in Bangkok aims to foster the creation, development and improvement of relationships between local inventors and international partners. The organizers estimate that this year the event will welcome more than 1000 inventors and over 20,000 international visitors. It is not, therefore, “just” a major annual event, but one of the largest innovation events in South-East Asia. In recent years, in fact, many inventions presented at IPITEX have been very successful internationally. In particular, the Bangkok Fair has launched several Taiwanese inventors on the world stage. For this very reason, in 2020 the Thai government invited all Taiwanese inventors to participate in IPITEX in Bangkok to give them the opportunity to present their innovative ideas in technology to the world.
