Safely with the sensors of TreeVoice

The fall of a tree can pose a great risk to the public
Safety. A solution comes from TreeVoice, a Roman startup, and from his innovative idea. Preventing tree falls and remotely monitoring their health would be the optimum to ensure safety in the cities and to avoid disastrous falls to the ground of tall plants.

This is the goal of TreeVoice, a Roman startup, who had the idea to apply on each tree a wireless sensor to measure the vibrations to which the plant is subjected, transmitting all the data to a central computer. In this way, those who deal with the protection of public green can read in real time the data relating to each tree, instantly understanding whether the plant in question is becoming unstable. When the data is abnormal, it automatically starts reporting so that teams of skilled workers can intervene in time before a possible
Fall.

Working on prevention is the watchword for TreeVoice. In this way the risks associated with the dangerous trees are drastically reduced, as are the costs for the controls, which would be more than halved. The startup, thanks to this innovative idea, was selected in 2016 by Tim to re-enter the WCap acceleration program, receiving a funding of 40 thousand euros. The funds with which the first prototype of the sensor has been developed and the software. Developments? For the future, it is also thought to include a series of sensors in the package to monitor other indicators of the state of health of the tree, such as the pH or the presence of parasitic insects, or sensors to prevent fire or measure pollution levels in City.
