International Invention Innovation Competition in Canada, iCAN is the premier event of Canada for worldwide inventors: the 2021 edition will be held online
iCAN has shown continuous growth and improvement since its first edition in 2016 through 2017~2019, and to last year’s 5th Anniversary in 2020 which marked the event’s highest record in all numbers of total participants and collaborating organizations. The past 5 editions of iCAN from 2016~2020 featured participants from 81 different countries around the world which redefined the event to be the true global stage for worldwide inventors in Toronto, Canada.
This year, the 6th International Invention Innovation Competition in Canada, iCAN 2021 will be held online and it is our honour to once again invite you to join us and share ideas, make an impact, and be awarded for your outstanding creativity and innovation that Canada wants to see from you.
The main purpose of iCAN is to build a special platform to unite creativity and innovation initiatives of Canadian inventors with the rest of the world by providing everyone with the golden opportunity to expand their international network, business activities, promote their inventions, new products and research projects while achieving a new milestone of success of winning iCAN Awards from Canada.
iCAN 2021 features favourable online programs: invention competition, educational keynote speakers’ presentations, the Finals Movie and the Finals Award Winners announcement. Inventors, innovators, students, professors, researchers, scientists, designers, entrepreneurs, and anyone with spectacular ideas in any industries and invention categories are eligible to apply to iCAN 2021 and participate in all event programs above and receive all benefits of participation.
iCAN 2021: partecipation method
STAGE 1: THE PRELIMINARIES (Required by All Applicants to Qualitfy in the Competition)
Act 1: Request for Files above & Complete iCAN 2021 Application Form. Complete 1 form (file) for each invention/project make sure to fill in all required fields in the “Personal Information” Section provide both written description & visuals (photos, diagrams, screenshots, etc.). Incomplete application forms are subject to automatic disqualification
Act 2: Submit Your Application Form by Email. Submit the completed application form to ican@tisias.org by no later than June 15th receive a confirmation email back from the organizer after your submission you will further receive Preliminary Result for Gold/Silver/Bronze on or before July 1st qualified Finalists then decide between stopping at the Preliminaries, or proceeding to the Finals (video presentation required)
STAGE 2: THE FINALS (Optional Choice for the Qualified Finalists from the Preliminaries)
Act 1: Decision to Submit a Video Presentation of the Invention/Project for Competing in iCAN 2021 “The Finals”. Submitting a video presentation is an optional choice for all Finalists. Finalists who submit video presentations are eligible to compete for the Finals Awards. Finalists who do not submit video presentations will only be rewarded with the Preliminary Awards (Gold, Silver or Bronze). Video presentation file must be submitted to the organizer by no later than August 10th
Act 2: iCAN 2021 “The Finals” Program & Award Winners Announcement will be uploaded on August 28th (on website/social media). iCAN 2021 “The Finals” Movie will be displayed on website/social media/YouTube (to be further announced). The Finalists’ video presentations will be used for the Finals Movie and judging for the Finals evaluation for the Finals Awards. After the Finals, all participants will receive their Award Packages by international express airmail. All award winners of iCAN 2021 will be asked to send a photo of themselves taken together with the awards they received. iCAN 2021 Group Photo Collage will be produced and shared with all participants when everyone receives their awards
