The Union of Arab Academics: a new device for that could help people affected by covid

The Union of Arab Academics is working hard to find various solutions in order to deal with the current covid 19 emergency and work as much as possible to deal with this pandemic and help its people in particular. In their hospitals  there are not enough ventilators and intensive care beds in the hospitals.

An engineers of TUOAA has designed a CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) device that could help the 19 patients breathe more easily.

The device works to assist the breathing process when the oxygen mask is insufficient and helps those who have difficulty breathing. This device can help save many lives by significantly reducing the use of ventilators and ICUs and those who work on them, except for critical cases.

It is worth saying that a large percentage of people with covid 19 have been content to use CPAP devices and have eliminated the virus without the need for ventilators, especially in China and Italy.

The device is used by patients both in hospital and at home, for those who have difficulty breathing, the device injects a quantity of oxygen with air through the mouth and nose up to a certain point continuously, as it makes the airways open and increases the amount of oxygen in the bloodstream.

The device is the result of a comprehensive study of how the CPAP device principle works, as well as analysis of the test protocol and equipment to ensure patient safety.

In this figure you can see the prototype.
