Erreà presented the new jersey of Parma Calcio, made with a hi-tech fabric that breaks down the viral load with zinc oxide nanoparticles

The pandemic caused by the new coronavirus has radically changed our habits. The sport was directly involved with the suspension of competitive activities, resumed later with the absence of the public in the stadiums. The health of athletes and company staff is constantly monitored by regular swabs. The risk of contagion among athletes, however, remains always too high, considering the impossibility to use masks during sports activities.

Erreà is among the first companies to present a special jersey that fights the coronavirus. The company manufactured the jerseys for the Parma Calcio 1913 militant team in the largest Italian series made with Ti-energy fabric. The new yarn reduces the viral load by 99.9% one hour after the initial contamination. The antiviral property is ensured by the presence of zinc oxide nanoparticles permanently encapsulated in the fabric fibers. Ti-energy also takes advantage of the Minusnite Jl+ treatment, which provides liquid impermeability.

Parma Calcio 1913 is the first Serie A club to adopt this technology to protect its athletes from possible contagions. The technology will be made available to all clubs of any sport that want to provide greater safety to their athletes. Ti-energy therefore provides a very effective protective barrier against droplets, liquids and microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi and viruses and allows professional athletes to express their qualities at best, all for the benefit of the show and safety.
