You know what you’re eating? Find out with a Qr Code

Tracking food thanks to new technologies on DNA will allow us to know with confidence
where the food we buy comes from from, thanks to a simple reader.

How much more confident would you feel about knowing that the food you eat is potentially traceable and analysable? Thanks to the FOODCODE project, developed by the National Research Council, knowing the exact components of the food in front of you will no longer be a chimera.
The technology developed by the team led by Professor Diego Breviario of IBBA (Institute of Agricultural Biology and Biotechnology) allows the analysis of food simply by decoding the genetic code of individual ingredients.
