LG Wing, the first T-shaped smartphone: a video reveals how it works

LG Wing

By the end of the year, LG will launch the Wing, a revolutionary smartphone with a dual display that can rotate 90 degrees: a video reveals how it will work.

A revolution (yet another) is coming in the smartphone industry. After the indestructible bomb-proof glass and the graphene battery with super long life, this time it’s the turn of the screen able to rotate on itself. That’s right: LG Electronics is launching a smartphone with a dual display that can rotate 90 degrees. The model will be called LG Wing and should make its debut by the end of the year. The smartphone in question will look a lot like the V10 model – also by LG – but will have a double display. The main display will have a width of 6.8 inches and can rotate 90 degrees compared to a 4 inch square secondary display. The superimposition can be in two configurations: the T-display (main display above secondary display) or the T-display lying down (main display beside the secondary display). The idea is to use the “extension” of the screen to allow the user to do several things at once.

LG Wing: the first T-shaped smartphone

The details and technical specifications of the LG Wing are still shrouded in mystery. So far, in fact, very little has been known about the data sheet of the first T-shaped smartphone. According to some rumors, it should mount a Snapdragon 765g chip with 5g module compatible with next-generation networks. The ram should be 8 gb and the internal memory 128 gb. No information has been leaked on the rear and front photo compartment. What is certain is that it will be a unique device of its kind. A movie released by LG shows the features and advantages of the dual rotating display. For example, the user will be able to answer a call during GPS navigation without losing sight of the route on the navigator. The price? It is not known yet, but well-informed sources are leaking that it should be around 650/700 Euros.
